Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for a Band 5 Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to work full-time based in Bedfordshire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse.

The pay rate for this locum Substance Misuse Recovery Worker job is £17.60 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 6-week contract.

Duties:

  • To manage a caseload between 35-70.
  • To carry out drug and alcohol misuse assessment including assessment of personal strengths and recovery capital, and risks.
  • To develop recovery plans using a person-centred approach to develop, implement and evaluate needs and strengths based care plans and risk management plans in partnership with service users, carers and other professionals.
  • To liaise with professional eg GP at start of treatment, at review and discharge.
  • To offer health promotion and deliver harm reduction interventions, including needle exchange and access to physical health care including BBV and health screening.
  • To provide IBA, extended IBA, one-to-one and group interventions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Direct access clinic (drop-in) experience is required.
  • Prescribing experience essential
