Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 5 Community Nurse to work in Stapleford & Ilkeston. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Community Nurse job is £20 - £31 per hour (Assignment rate).
With a shift pattern consisting of 0800-1600, 0830-1630 or 0900-1700.
Community Nurse Job Summary:
- To provide high quality holistic evidence based care to patients / service users that is responsive, effective and efficient
- To facilitate and support timely discharge and prevent inappropriate admissions by supporting patients / service user to remain as independent as possible and maintain or improve their level of function and quality of life.
Duties:
- To support the re-design of Adult Community Health Services within Nottingham to achieve a model of wrap around care that is responsive to the needs of the patients / service users
- To be pro-active in delivering anticipatory and responsive care, promoting independence, health life style, reduction in health inequalities to improve the overall quality of life in the local population.
- To offer a comprehensive nursing service to the resident population of Nottingham West, providing a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approach to maximise patient function, well-being and self-care planning
Pay Rate:
- Weekdays - £20-£21 per hour
- Saturdays/Nights - £26.00 per hour
- Sundays/Bank Holidays - £31.00 per hour
Requirements of the Community Nurse:
- An in-date DBS is required for all roles/work
- RGN qualified
- NMC qualified
- Must have Community experience
- Experience of syringe drivers and palliative care would be desirable however not essential.
- Must be a car driver
- Must be competent in Venepuncture, Insulin & Tinzaparin administration, Catheterisation, Wound care & compression bandaging
