Sanctuary Social Care currently has a locum vacancy based in Surrey for an Assistant Team Manager, within the Adult's Learning Disabilities Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in adults' Services and be registered with the HCPC.

As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive rate of £35.00 - £40.00 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3-month contract.

Duties of the Assistant Team Manager:

  • To assist with leading, motivating and managing a team ensuring the service provided is consistent, effective and delivers positive outcomes
  • Providing expert guidance to team members and others in situations of complexity, working as the allocated practitioner in specific cases
  • To bring a good understanding and commitment to the personalisation agenda and be able to demonstrate an applied knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation

Requirements of the Assistant Team Manager:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • At least 4 years senior level frontline experience within adults' services
  • Previous experience of supervising qualified social workers in a social care setting
  • Must be a car driver
  • Must have commitment in supporting carers and empowering people through direct payments
