Sanctuary Social Care currently has a permanent vacancy based in High Wycombe for an Assistant Team Manager to work within a Children in Care Team (Aftercare).
As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive package of £42,709 - £45,058 per annum.
About this role:
- The Assistant Team manager will support the Team Manger to supervise a team of Social Workers and Personal Advisors to deliver statutory services to young people leaving care
- You will be responsible for promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
- Improving children and young people's life chances and outcomes in the care of their parents, or other carers
- Assisting with the leading, managing and supervising social work practice
- Assessing, planning, delivering and reviewing social work services
- Assuring the quality of practice, managing performance and delivering value for money
Requirements for the Assistant Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Extensive experience of leading a team and promoting good practice
- In-depth knowledge of leaving care, housing and transition to adulthood legislation and procedure. It would also be useful to have knowledge of Looked After Children
