Sanctuary Social Care currently has a locum vacancy based in Bournemouth for an Assistant Team Manager, within the Children & Family Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive rate of £35 - £38 per hour (Assignment rate) and this role is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Reporting to Team Managers
- Supervise and support experienced and newly qualified Social Workers and Family Support Practitioners within their POD
- To provide safe, high quality casework that complies with legislation, guidance and local policies and procedures to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people and families within Bournemouth.
- Responsible for the direction of casework on a day to day basis and as such play a key role in the management of risk to vulnerable children and young people and ensuring that interventions are timely and targeted.
Requirements of the Assistant Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's services
