Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Assistant Team Manager within the Assessment Team to work full time based in Buckinghamshire.

The salary for this permanent Assistant Team Manager job is up to £48,132 per annum.

Main duties:

To keep abreast of changing contexts at local and national level, and take account of these in social work practice, modelling the social work role and providing leadership at Assistant Team Manager level to the team.
To assist in the development and implementation of innovative ways of working, taking into account research and experience from our own and other teams.
To assist in the provision of specialised professional support and advice to staff and other agencies relating to supporting children at risk of harm and families in need of social work help.
To deputise for the Team Manager in acting as a point of liaison in relation to other agencies to ensure that a multi-disciplinary approach is maintained in respect of children’s welfare involved in Looked After Children, Children at Risk and children subject to a child protection plan.
To provide expert professional advice and support in relation to casework; full compliance with the law, ensuring legal advice is taken and acted upon as required and representing the Council and presenting casework evidence and information in court as required.
To ensure delivery of the children’s social work within a locality team in accordance with legislative requirements, all relevant policies, procedures and agreed performance standards and targets and to take remedial action as required.
To effectively manage the team within the remit of this role including ensuring appropriate, high quality and timely provision of social work and management of risk in relation to children’s social care interventions within a Locality Team leading to a positive outcome for the child or young person.
To ensure the quality, effectiveness and appropriateness of social work provided by the team, ensuring that all locality social work intervention is conducted in accordance with legislative requirments, all relevant policies and procedures and agreed performance targets.
To undertake a range if performance management and quality assurance actively across the Team in line with the Children’s Services Quality Assurance Framework.
To ensure consistent application of multi-agency thresholds so that children’s needs are met at the appropriate level of intervention.
To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade if the post, as may be required from time to time.

Requirements of this Assistant Team Manager job:

A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
Understanding of relevant legislation.
Continual professional development.
Social Work England registered.
