Sanctuary Social Care currently has a locum vacancy based in Wiltshire for an Assistant Team Manager to work within a 0-25 SEND Service. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive rate of £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and this role is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Managing and supervising a number of qualified social workers and other staff, as delegated by the manager within the dedicated team
- Supporting the manager to direct, co-ordinate and provide leadership to all staff within the dedicated team
- Building upon and supporting the manager to improve effective delivery of the five "Every Child Matters" outcomes for children and families within the dedicated team function
- Deputising for the manager as appropriate during time of absence providing management cover and support to operational arrangements within the dedicated team
Requirements of the Assistant Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's services
