Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Approved Mental Health Professional to work full-time based in Sutton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Approved Mental Health Professional job is £34 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Undertake mental health act assessments, obtain warrants from the court.
- Take part in AMHP duty rota on a permanent basis.
- Carrying out mental health assessments.
- Liaising with health professionals and making recommendations.
- Screen mental health act requests.
- Visit general hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, police stations, homes and community hubs.
Requirements of the Approved Mental Health Professional:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Requires the candidate to be on the Central AMHP team rota providing assessment and co-ordination under the Mental Health Act.
