Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (Social Worker) to fill a full-time role based in Sutton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this Approved Mental Health Practitioner role is £34-£36 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Undertake mental health act assessments, obtain warrants from the court
- Take part in AMHP duty rota on a permanent basis
- Carrying out mental health assessments
- Liaising with health professionals and making recommendations
- Screen mental health act requests
- Visit general hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, police stations, homes and community hubs
Requirements:
- A Social Work qualification
- AMHP qualification
- Current Social Work England Registration
- Current and past experience of acting as an AMHP
