Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Allegations Manager to work full-time within Children's Services in Leicestershire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Allegations Manager job is £39.07 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties of the Allegations Manager:
- To manage and develop a high-quality allegations management service to ensure that the highest operational standard is achieved and maintained to maximise the level of protection offered to children and young people.
- To act as the LADO exercising the Council's responsibilities to ensure that allegations against staff and carers in all organisations working with children are properly managed.
- To assist with processes to ensure that schools are compliant with duties under the 2002 Education Act to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- To ensure systems are maintained for recording concerns and allegations, monitoring progress and recording outcomes.
- To advise schools and other employers on the process and conclusion of investigations.
- To assist in ensuring that allegations are pursued swiftly, thoroughly and fairly and in line with policy and procedures.
- To take part in meetings with the police to monitor progress on criminal investigations into alleged offences against children.
- To report on the progress of cases to senior managers including Assistant Directors, DCS and Lead Member when appropriate.
- To collate information on allegations for reporting to the DCSF, GOEM, LSCB and other relevant agencies.
Requirements of the Allegations Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Experience working in a similar role
