Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Advanced Social Worker to work full-time within a Children with Disabilities (0-25) Team based in Croydon. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The salary for this permanent Advanced Social Worker job is £43,590 - £45,585 per annum.

Duties:

  • Undertake a range of statutory duties in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and in relation to children and their families who are in need/ in need of protection, and other child care services
  • Carry a number of complex cases including care proceedings and make assessments of need, plan appropriate resources and monitor and review in line with the policy framework
  • Provide informal support to less experienced and qualified SW's in the team and to contribute to on the job training in relation to team policies and procedures and induction arrangements
  • Working as a senior experienced practitioner providing guidance and challenge to less experienced workers

Requirements of the Advanced Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • A minimum 2 years' experience within Children's Services
