Role Overview:
As an Advanced Social Worker, you will be essential in delivering exceptional services to children and families with complex needs. This hands-on role involves professional leadership, the mentoring of colleagues, and managing a smaller caseload. Work closely with your Team Manager to oversee effective day-to-day operations and contribute to the continuous enhancement of social work practices.
What you will do:
– Handle a reduced caseload involving children and families with complex needs, including conducting thorough assessments and interventions.
– Provide professional leadership by supervising and mentoring less experienced social workers, students, and unqualified staff.
– Champion high standards of social work practice by promoting reflective learning and delivering on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring.
– Collaborate effectively with multi-agency environments to address the needs of families with complex issues.
– Lead improvements in practice by constructively challenging the quality of social care delivery.
About You:
To excel in this role, bring your substantial post-qualifying experience in social work with evidence of advanced training and development. You should have expertise in working with families with complex needs within multi-agency settings and a proven ability to mentor, coach, and train professional colleagues. Strong leadership skills to support team development and improve practice standards are essential.
