Sanctuary Social Care has locum vacancy for an Advanced Practitioner to work full-time based in Wolverhampton, within the Emergency Duty Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Advanced Practitioner role is £32.34 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties of the Advanced Practitioner:
- Responding to crisis situation out office hours
- Working with emergency services to share info and safeguard children & vulnerable adults
- Undertaking section 47 investigations
- Making referrals
- Negotiating with families to prevent relationship breakdown
- Assessing and placing families in emergency accommodation where homelessness is a concern
- Providing an emergency out of hours social care service for children
- Working in this team includes shifts throughout weekends and Bank Holidays
- Ability to work alone; often in partnership with other emergency services including the Police, LAS, A&E staff and the Fire Service
- Carrying out statutory child protection duties relating to children
Requirements of the Advanced Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Previous experience working in a similar team
