Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Adults Social Worker to work full-time in a Continuing Healthcare Team based in Cambridge/Peterborough. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 per hour (Assignment rate) and is available on a 3-month contract.
About the job:
- An exciting opportunity has arisen in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough for 6 full time Social Workers to assist in completing the 'Deferred NHS Continuing Healthcare Assessments' created by the Coronavirus pandemic.
- The role involves working [virtually] across Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council completing assessments and reviews in preparation for the NHS Continuing Healthcare process and participating in the multidisciplinary meetings to establish eligibility for NHS CHC.
- Where an individual is not eligibility for NHS CHC funding, but they are assessed as eligible for support from the Council, then you are responsible for implementing support in line with assessed need.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Candidates MUST be experienced in NHS CHC Practice and be flexible to work across both CCC and PCC to clear a backlog of Assessments following the suspension due to Covid-19
- Flexible
- Organised
- IT literate [Microsoft Office products, MOSAIC]
- Experienced in NHS CHC and Care Act 2014 assessments/reviews
- Have excellent communication and Report writing skills
- Able to work full time
- Immediate start required
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
