Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Southend-on-Sea, within the Access Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this Social Worker job is £32,000 - £38,000 per annum and is on a permanent basis.
Duties:
- Support people and their carer's as a 'change agent' to build on their strengths, assets and abilities to self-manage
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- 2 years post qualified social worker
- Completed ASYE
- Experience in working within a local authority setting
- Excellent communication skills and a good manager of time
- Proficient with using various computer systems and programmes
- Ability to work within a pressurised environment and be flexible with working
- Experience and knowledge of working with adults and older people
- Experience of safeguarding
- Experience of undertaking Mental Capacity Act assessments
