Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Southend. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this Social Worker job is £32,000 - £38,000 per annum and is on a permanent basis.
Duties:
- Supporting individuals, families and carer's through strengths-based conversations and assessments
- Care planning post discharge from hospital
- Support people and their carer's as a 'change agent' to build on their strengths, assets and abilities to self-manage
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- At least 2 years frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Able to work within a pressurised environment
- Experience in working within a local authority setting
- Excellent communication skills, good manager of time and proficient with using various computer systems and programmes
- Experience of working with older people
- Experience of safeguarding and undertaking Mental Capacity Act assessments
