Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Adult Speech and Language Therapist to work full-time based in Hillingdon. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Speech and Language Therapist job is £28 - £31 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
3 days per week until the end of June/July 2021 (potential for 5 days per week up to end of December 2020)
Duties:
- Provide support to under 5's with neurodevelopmental needs in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Therapy/assessment will take place both in a clinical setting and home, and currently also virtual
- A cohort of children include complex learning and medical needs/ASD
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapist
- HCPC registered as a Therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Experience in disorders of communication - aphasia, dysarthria and dysphonia due to stroke, Parkinson's, MS etc.
- Dysphagia Competent (Able to assess and manage disorders of swallowing independently).
- Competence in LSVT for people with Parkinson's disease an advantage, but not essential.
