Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in adults' services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £30 - £35 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- To undertake assessment in a strength based approach
- To identify and access appropriate resources to meet identified needs, utilising networks and communities and formal support when required
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team
- To work in accordance with relevant legislation, departmental policies and procedures
- To work within departmental service standards and timescales
- To ensure appropriate and accurate records are maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
- To maintain a record of professional development
- To undertake assessments of adults who may be at risk of harm, implementing safety plans, provide clear reports for case conferences, and to put in place adult protection plans
- To undertake any other tasks within the team appropriate to the grade of this, post, including crisis work and hospital discharge
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within adults' services
