Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Care Assistant Team Manager to work full-time within Adult's Services in Woking. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Adult Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this Social Care Assistant Team Manager job is £45,000 - £46,000 per annum and is on a permanent basis.
Duties:
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding and commitment to the personalisation agenda
- Demonstrate an applied knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation, including the Mental Capacity Act and the NHS Continuing Healthcare National Framework
- Demonstrate the skills and ability to manage and support the day to day running of a busy, dynamic team effectively prioritising daily challenges and expectations
Requirements of the Social Care Assistant Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Post qualification experience working in a similar role
- Occupational Therapy qualification/degree
- Management experience in a social care setting
- Excellent communicator
- Confident in making sound decisions that respond flexibly and quickly to changing needs that arise in a high-pressure locality team environment
- Develop effective partnership relationships with individuals, carers and families and positive relationships with professional health staff both within and outside the locality team
- Good understanding of both the health and social care agendas
- Evidence of providing effective professional supervision to less experienced colleagues
- Demonstrate an applied and effective knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults' procedures and be able to evidence this
- Competent IT skills and be able and willing to learn to use a variety of software systems
- Driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential
