Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 5 Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to fill a full-time role based in Milton Keynes.
The pay rate for this locum Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician job is £20.00per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties:
- Labelling and dispensing of medical supplies to wards and departments including clinical trial dispensing
- Using the pharmacy computer system, according to the dispensary procedures; ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in the processing of prescriptions
- Undertaking regular expiry date checking for designated bin locations in Pharmacy – to identify expired or short-dated stock
- Undertaking extemporaneous dispensing making relevant calculations for the formula and preparing products according to good Pharmacy Practice
- Counselling patients that attend Pharmacy on how to take their medicines safely and warning them of possible side effects that they may experience during treatment
Requirements of the Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician:
- Must have pharmacy experience
- GPHC Registration
- Previous NHS experience
- ACT accreditation
