Qualified Social Worker – Adult Services

Our client has a full time vacancy for a Qualified Social Worker to work in Adult Services based in Southampton with a pay rate of £23-25 (limited company worker) per hour.

Duties Include -
- To work with colleagues in accepting referrals, carrying out assessments and ensuring that appropriate advice and information is given to clients and their carers.
- To work in close co-operation with colleagues across the Division, in partner agencies, and the voluntary and private sectors in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients and carers.
- To cost, negotiate and purchase packages of care or residential packages of care or residential placements, as appropriate to clients needs, and within the Department’s available resources.
- To offer particular support and guidance to individuals at a time of loss and bereavement within the overall care management role.

Requirements -
You must have a relevant Social Work qualification (BA / MA Social Work / DipSW or equivalent), be professionally registered in the area you wish to work - SSSC for Scotland, CCW for Wales, NISCC for Northern Ireland or GSCC for England*; and be eligible to work in the UK. Candidates applying to work in England can hold either SSSC, CCW, NISCC or GSCC registration. You must have at least 2 years post qualifying experience.
