Social Work Job - Children With Disabilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

We require a Qualified Social Worker to work within a Children with Disabilities Team in Hertfordshire. This is a Contract position with a start date of ASAP.

DUTIES INCLUDE

• Manage a caseload consisting of court work, children on the child protection register, children looked after as well as children in need.
• Knowledge of childcare legislation including the Children Act 1989 and associated guidance and regulations.
• The ability to interview children and families and make assessments and recommendations based on your findings.
• The ability to organise and prioritise caseloads.
• The ability to operate within a multi-disciplinary setting.
• Carrying out Child in Need assessments

REQUIREMENTS

You must have a relevant Social Work qualification (BA / MA Social Work / DipSW / CCETSW), be GSCC registered and be eligible to work in the UK. Experience working within a Children with Disabilities Social Services department would be an advantage.
