Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Operational Manager within the CAMHS Service to work full time based in Guernsey.

The salary for this permanent Operational Manager job is up to £80,716 per annum.

Main duties:

  • Lead the CAMHS service ensuring that the team provides a high quality and equitable service to all patients supporting the development of specialist functions for individual clinicians ensuring there are no gaps in service provision.
  • Oversee a single assessment process, carried out by the most appropriate professionals, followed by advice, signposting or allocation for interventions or longer-term work, with no internal referrals or multiple assessments.
  • Develop a multi-disciplinary approach to eating disorders with appropriate training provided to staff.
  • Explore a co-production approach to service improvement, enabling service users and their representatives to have a say in how services are developed within existing resources.
  • To communicate clearly with all staff members at all levels of the organisation demonstrating sensitivity to cultural and language differences.
  • To ensure written paper and electronic communication complies with organisational and professional standards.
  • To provide leadership in the promotion of health and well-being of service users and their significant others in accordance with organisational strategy.
  • To utilise information and data from a range of sources to identify problems, guide decision-making processes and develop a strategic direction for service delivery.
  • To ensure that staff performance is appropriately managed to address developmental needs, in liaison with senior practitioners.
  • To monitor the implementation of organisational policies and procedures and apply the competency and disciplinary where necessary.
  • To ensure that there is a high standard of risk assessment within the CAMHS team and that relevant actions are taken to minimise identified risks.
  • To ensure that the teams are kept up to date with legislative and policy changes and developments.
  • To ensure evidence-based practice in own and the practice of other members of staff involved in the care of the service user.
  • The job description is intended as a guide to the principal duties and responsibilities of the post and complements individual objectives set in line with the department’s annual business objectives. Responsibilities will be reviewed periodically in line with service priorities and duties may change or new duties be introduced after consultation with the post holder.

Requirements of this Operational Manager role:

  • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
