Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
- The role will include some domiciliary visits in the local area.
- The caseload includes people at risk of falling, and those with orthopaedic, musculoskeletal and other rehabilitation needs who are unable to access outpatient services.
- To be an autonomous practitioner with responsibility for own caseload working without direct supervision. To assess, develop and implement evidence-based treatment programmes for these patients within their own homes, community hospitals and other community settings.
- To provide support, training and guidance to junior staff. To provide support and information to patients, families and all agencies involved in the patients’ care.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
