Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Approved Mental Health Professional to work full time based in Haringey.

The salary for this permanent Approved Mental Health Professional job is up to £50,083 per annum.

Main duties:

  • To provide operational leadership and support as directed by the Head of Service to ensure the service achieves its Key Performance Indicators.
  • To have oversight, and to risk manage screening of incoming referrals for Mental Health Act Assessments and allocation in a timely manner to the Duty AMHP team, including processing referrals received by the Out of Hours Emergency Duty Team.
  • To ensure seamless processing of incoming referrals from EDT, other health care professionals or services are assessed and prioritised, with an appropriate response and action taken to resolve, refer on, and record actions as appropriate.
  • To carry out regular quality assurance audits on AMHP reports and develop action plans to share fundings, that influence and share learning to raise practice standards. Provide monthly reports on timeliness of completion and quality of accuracy to Operational Service Manger or Head of Service.
  • To work with the Operational Service Manager, Head of Service and Workforce Development to identify AMHP learning and Training needs to inform AMHP refresher annual training programme and monitoring AMHP compliance to annual training, and undertake the role of AMHP Practice Educator Assessor to mentor Trainee AMHPs on placement & undertake appropriate refresher training in relation to this role and to provide case management, guidance, support and expert advice to AMHPs, students to ensure we continued sufficient AMHP to deliver our statutory responsibilities.
  • To ensure team members maintain data quality and integrity and that data is managed in accordance with business rules on retention, duplication and quality.
  • Be accountable to the Head of Service for the financial management and control of all allocated budgets and take responsibility for all team facilities, relevant equipment, and resources.
  • Manage the team and undertake the full range of management responsibilities for the whole employment cycle including recruitment, induction, probation, training/development, and supervision including holding regular ‘My Conversation’ mapping conversations with team members to set SMART objectives and to review and assess their achievement in line with Haringey Values.
  • To undertake any other temporary responsibilities aligned with the overall purpose and grade of the role.

Requirements of this Approved Mental Health Professional role:

  • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
